£620 handed over. £1000 raised so far this year

It was a pleasure to hand over £500 to Paulton League of Friends on Friday. The money was raised at the regular Paulton Rovers Afternoon Tea event that goes to a different charity each month.

This months charity was Stroke UK, where we raised £120. Next month we will be raising money for Paul Thorner, who is walking Hadrians Wall with four bricks on his back, representing one lost veteran per brick. All the money that Paul raises will be going to the Rifles Charities, Care For Casualties, who offer support to those affected by PTSD.

I really hope that as many people as possible can come and support Paul on Monday 3rd June.

Newly elected Paulton Labour councillor Grant Johnson said 'Well done to Sarah Delaney and Kat Clarke who put so much work in to making these events happen each month'.
