Paulton out gun Yate

(Above) Man of the match as decided by sponsors Cooperative Travel of Paulton and Radstock Dale Evans receives his Thatchers Cider award from manager John Rendell.

Paulton deservedly took the points taking an eighth minute lead from the penalty spot after Josh Ford pushed Jack Ball. Ball placed the penalty passed Yate keeper Lewis Thomas.

Six minutes later Ford hauled back Ball and received a second yellow and was dismissed.

Ryan Gay turned and brought a save from Thomas then Ball ran on to. Fire over.

Sam Kamara put over a dangerous cross for the visitors and home skipper Jamie Laird cleared.

Yate started the second half on fire as first Kamara tested Brown who was then on hand to save from sub George King.

Rovers sub Joe Hillard's first act was to head narrowly over from Dale Evans left wing free kick. Kamara ran on only to blast wide in response.

Evans then combined with Liam Monelle to set up a golden opportunity for Ball and Ball again should have scored to knock over from Short distance.

Brown held firmly from King and Sam Boilton. In added time Nick Peace was denied by Brown and Monelle fired wide whilst King was wasteful as his side pressed for equaliser.
