Farm harvest the points

A big crowd of 406 saw a highly competitive match that Farm denied Paulton's least the point they deserved.

18 year old goalie Adam Forster playing his first game of the season for Paulton look commanding holding an effort from Jordan Metters and set up several attacks which saw Liam Monelle set up Jack Ball to drive wide.

Manor Farm keeper Ben John turned away Ryan Gay's cross from the left with his foot then saw his shot deflected into John's arms.

Owen Howe twice was penalised for offside as the visitors pressed. As the game flowed end to end John was alert to save from Charlie Hitchings.

The best chance as half time approach saw Manor Farm's Troy Simpson break through with Forster quickly out to snuff out the danger.

Farm looked sharp on the restart and Forster was again out quickly to deny Simpson again and then saved well from Howe on two occasions.

Rovers response saw left back Cormac Pike bring a save from John then Ball found Jamie Laird whose pass to Ball hit a low shot wide.

Manor Farm went ahead on 69 minutes as a long ball from Metters was fastened onto by Howe to lob over Forster into the net.

Lewis Bamford tested the alert Forster and Monelle's dipping shot went over the bar and from a corner on the right from Ben Withey , Sam Jordan headed wide.

Rovers should have levelled on 75 minutes as Monelle's cross was headed against the crossbar by Ball with John beaten. The ball was played down the other end from Simpson to break on the right and hit a low shot giving Forster no chance.

Within minutes Paulton pulled a goal back as Gay broke down the right and his shot aiming for the far post was deflected over John and into the net.

Rovers pressed with Monelle testing John and Ball twice had golden chances which he should have buried.

Another game Rovers should have had something out of and sums up their season to date.
