Experienced keeper signs

Paulton manager John Rendell moved quickly to sign experienced goalkeeper Joe Perry (aside)from Merthyr Town.

He replaced former Norton Hill student Adam Forster after the Hallatrow youngster surprised Rendell by announcing he had accepted an offer from Premier League South Yate Town.

Rendell said 'having given 18 year old Forster his Southern League chance and saw him developing to move to a much higher level, I was bitterly disappointment with his decision.

'However to snap up such an experienced keeper in Joe Perry augers well as I am determined to build a much improved Paulton Rovers.

To that end pre season training started last Thursday and will continue 2-3 times a week leading to the pre season friendlies at Ashton & Blackwell on Wednesday 10 July then travel to Bridgend to play Penybont FC the following Saturday.

The first home friendly is on Friday 19 July with Bristol Rovers the visitors kick off 7-30 p. m.
