Town came out more determined and Sam Smart's deflected shot was held by Paulton keeper Rob Brown.
McAdden again saved from first Withey then Gay before a lose ball was picked up by Zidan Akers who ran on and hit a fierce shot which took a wicked deflection to loop over Brown to give the hosts the lead.
As Rovers pushed for an equaliser another misplaced pass was fastened onto by sub Jack McKnight and Sam Deadman was on hand to turn the ball home.
