(Aside)Rovers an of the match Josh Klein-Davies receiving his award from Paulton chairman Dave Bissex.

Paulton hit seven for the second game running demolishing rivals Wimborne Town with a superb team display.

After two shots were cleared off the line and several excellent saves from visiting keeper Jason Harvell, Rovers went ahead after 31 minutes. Ben Lacey broke down the right and found Josh Klein-Davies to turn the ball home.

It was 2-0 on forty two minutes after Lacey's shot was turned for a corner taken by Brandon Barnes on the right and headed home by Marcus Mapstone.

Two minutes later it was 3-0 to Paulton. Klein-Davies and Lacey both had shots blocked and the ball fell to Darren Jefferies to drive home.

Paulton's midfield of Mike Perrott and Evans were completely orchastrating the game, whilst at the back Scott Brice and inspirational captain Dan Cleverley snuff out the vistors attack that included the league leading scorer Mark Gamble who was rarely allowed into the game.

Young right back Ryan Batten had another solid game and when replaced by Mike Reaney he continuing in the same vain despite being out injured or work commitments over the last month.

A minute after the restart Evans on the left passed to Lacey his shot was parried by Harvell and Klein-Davies tapped the ball home.

On fifty nine minutes it was 5-0 when Lacey found Jefferies on the right wing and his cut inside found Barnes to volley the ball into the net.

Jefferies is proving a real asset since joining from Chippenham Town in early October.

Lacey who was a real thorn in 'The Magpies' side outpaced their defence in the seventy sixth minute turned the ball into the path of Nick McCootie to tap home Rovers sixth. It was McCottie's first touchof the game as he had only come off the subs bench a few minutes beforehand.

As Paulton continued the domination the rout was completed on eighty eight minutes as McCottie drove into the area he was fouled. He picked himself up to convert the result penalty and make it 7-0.

Rovers keeper Kyle Phillips was not tested throught the afternoon

This was a tremendous team performance by Nick Bunyard Paulton team who simply did not allow Town to play.
