Manager Lorne Wilkinson thanks his assistant Paul Edwards and coach Brian Smith and summarised the season as good in parts. Despite finishing third in the Somerset Floodlit Youth League North Division he felt the squad had been good enough to win the division, but a for a number of injuries and bad results.

Pleasing was no fewer than nine Paulton Rovers players had been selected in the Somerset Youth squad and they had been captained by Dane Edwards. The downside is that many of the team have reached eighteen and will move on. He expressed the desire that after gaining experience at senior level that a number would return to play for Rovers in the Southern league in years to come.

Before handing out the awards Football Chairman Dave Bissex thanked the management team and the lads for what he thought had been a good season for the club at youth level.
