BRIDGWATER TOWN 2 v 3 PAULTON ROVERS

Paulton went into three goal lead before Bridgy hit back late to ease deficit.

On 18 minutes Ed Butcher controlled a cross from the left by Ali Sen to hit a low shot past the home keeper.

Ben Bament saw his header hit the crossbar as Rovers sought to add to the score.

They did on 41 minutes as good build up by Bament and Sen saw the ball laid into Butcher's path and he drove low past the disparing keeper.

Butcher completed his hatrtick after sixty five minutes intercepting a Bridgy clearance rounding the defence and thumping the ball home.

Twice Jack Taylor brought fine saves from Paulton keeper Joe Perry before in the last five minutes Steve Murray hit two fine low strikes on 86 and 88 minutes to pullled the score back to a 3-2 win for Rovers.

Paulton play their first home friendly on Friday against Bristol Rovers U23's likely to include a number of first team squad players. Kick Off 7-30 p.m.
