Get ready for the new season

The 2019 Southern League AGM was concluded in a an hour at Chesford Grange in Warwickshire on Saturday 15 June.

Several clubs raised the level of fines compared to the Northern Premier League. The board agreed to look into issues arising.

It was agreed that Pete Saxby would be Vice President given his IT expertise although his club Weymouth have been promoted into the Conference.

Directors elected by secret ballot for 4 years Gary Clarke (St Ives) and David Knight (Basingstoke) who are existing directors and new director for 3 years Pippa Daniels (Poole Town) who beat Andy StickleyBedworth Town)

An award was made to John Croft (Yate Town) who is standing down as a league director. He was congratulated on behalf of Paulton Rovers).

League chairman Terry Barrett (Hitchin Town) concluded the meeting by announcing that Evostik who had been the league sponsors for the last seven years were stepping down. The new league sponsor will be revealed on 1 July.
