Wimborne Town cemented their play off place although Paulton will be disappointed at two crucial refereeing decisions.
A defensive error gifted The Magpies a second minute goal as Toby Holmes ran on to score.
Worse was to follow for Paulton as in the fifth minute Luke Burbidge set up James Stoke for the veteran to fire home.
Rovers were grateful to keeper George Burton from Holmes adding to his tally on three occasions.
Paulton with the wind in the second half thought they had pulled a goal back two minutes after the restart as home keeper Gerald Benfield flapped at a Josh Cann corner turning it into his own net unchallenged only for the referee to disallow for a foul only he saw.
Six minutes later Benfield flapped again and Jack Ball headed into an empty net to reduce the deficit.
Toby Holmes was again a thorn in Rovers side and Burton was on hand to prevent him scoring on three occasions.
On 78 minutes Holmes made it three he appeared to be offside racing onto a long ball from the back. No whistle was given and he went on to tuck the ball past Burton.
With two minutes left sub Lee Francis cut in from the right unchallenged and hit a superb low shot into the net to make it 4-1.
The presentation night is on Friday 4 May at 7-30pm all very welcome.
