RED HOT JORDAN FIRES ROVERS TO VICTORY!

Striker Sammy Jordan scored 2 fine goals and laid on an assist as Paulton Rovers chalked up consecutive home league wins with a 4-1 victory over Fleet Town.

After a confident start by the home side, it was Fleet who produced the first real chance of the game when Bradley Wilson was clear through on goal only to see his shot skim off the top of the bar and over.
Almost immediately after, Rovers got the breakthrough in the 10th minute when Withey sent over the corner to the back post and on rushing captain Charlie Hitchings buried the header home.
It took only another 11 minutes for Rovers to double their lead, again from a set-piece. This time a free-kick was whipped it in the near post towards defender Joe Hillard who produced an acrobatic flick-on to the far post and striker Jordan looped the header home over Harvey White in goal. 2-0.
Bottom side Fleet went in search of response and in the 31st minute they got it as Bradley Wilson got through on goal and this time made no mistake in slotting the ball past Forster.
As half-time approached in an eventful half, Rovers restored their 2 goal lead and it was that man Sammy Jordan again with a deft flick at the near post following a quick free-kick to make it 3 in 3 for the hitman and 3-1 to Rovers going into half time.
Whilst the second half did not produce the goal fest of the first half, there were still useful contributions on show, no more so than Yeovil Town academy loanee Lewis Dix who grew into the game and produced the move of the second half in the 69th minute, beating two Fleet defenders on the by-line when second favourite before laying the ball into Monelle who's shot went whiskers wide of the post.
At the other end Rovers keep Adam Forster also had to stay alert with at least two good saves when Fleet looked favourite to score.
Rovers fans had to wait until the 88th minute for Paulton's fourth goal when Sammy Jordan went from scorer to provider picking up the pieces after a long-kick by Forster, the front man's faint left the defender for dead on the left side of the box and his low cross was expertly volleyed home by fellow striker Jack Ball.
Fleet's Bradley Wilson and a member of the coaching team saw red in the dying stages as the away side's frustrations boiled over.
