RADSTOCK TOWN 1 v 9 PAULTON ROVERS

(Aside) Rovers striker Josh Klein-Davies taking on two Radstock defenders.

Paulton Rovers had a good run out against Toolstation Western League side Radstock Town.

This was the first run out for both sides on the 3G pitch at Writhington Sports Centre and was a better game than the score suggests.

Radstock player manager Lloyd Edghill saw his header saved by Rovers keeper Kyle Phillips before Paulton took a third minute lead. Jon Davies cut down the right played the ball into Josh Klein-Davies who laid it into the path of Mike Bryant to strike home.

On 15 minutes Klein-Davies scored with cheeky back heel and nine minutes later Jon Davies tucked in cross from Darren Jefferies after he outpaced the 'Miner's' defence down the left.

Jefferies got his second a minute later with a superb solo run and strike and then on the half hour he completed his hat trick.

Rovers made it 6-0 after thirty seven minutes with the lively Klein-Davies heading home Davies cross.

Davies added his second five minutes later and two minutes from half time got his hat trick as Paulton went into the break 8-0 up.

Rovers manager Nick Bunyard rang the changes with a number of trialists having a chance to show their metal.

Paulton missed several glaring chances through Klein-Davies and Brandon Barnes.

Radstock deservedly pulled a goal back midway in the second half after phillips parried George Holland's shot and Jack Seymour followed up to score.

Ten minutes later Barnes set up Kane Ingram who neatly chipped the ball into the net to make it 9-1.

Paulton are at Street on Tuesday and Melksham Town next Friday both kick off at 7-30 p.m.
