Rovers progressed in the Somerset Premier Cup at the expense of Bishops Lydeard who were making their debut in the competition following last season's promotion from the Somerset County League.
It took 53 minutes for the visitors to establish a lead as Ibs Diallo's shot from the edge of the box eluded goalkeeper, Nathan Whatley who may feel he should have done better.
The second came 10 minutes later after good work down the right from Sol Wheatley, whose cross to the far post left Kailan Gould with the simplest of finishes.
Lydeard put up a good performance but could not beat Rovers rear guard and keeper Andrew Hannah.
