RADSTOCK TOWN 0 v 2 PAULTON ROVERS

Paulton overcame an impressive Radstock side as both sides look forward to the new season.

Rovers had the first chance as Andy Elcock fired over and then in similar vein the Miner's striker did the same.

Sam Taylor hit the side netting as John Rendell's men pressed but the home side then missed a great chance after Paulton's defence got in a pickle of a mix.

On the hour mark Paulton took the lead as a deep cross was headed home by Joe Guest.

A minute later Radstock were awarded a penalty as Lee Matthews brought down a Radstock player only to redeem himself with a neat save.

Rovers then lost first choice stopper Matthews through injury and outfield player Josh Cann donned the gloves went into goal.

Ryan Radford saw his pile driver well saved by the keeper but was on hand to head home the visitors second to make it 2-0 late on.
