Rovers and Wimborne Town played out a tense, but unusually exciting, nil nil draw on Saturday in the FA Cup Preliminary Round. A game that saw plenty of attempts at goal and a number of good saves from both goalkeepers. Both teams will have been scratching their heads as to how there was no winner. On Tuesday evening, there must be one!

Coming off the back of two league defeats, Craig Loxton and John Durbin will have been happy to see the team create so many chances and on another day, could have scored 3 or 4 goals.

Wimborne had a bye in the previous round but have opened their league season with a 5-2 win over Bishops Cleeve and a 1-1 draw with Exmouth.

Dan McBeam will be back in the Rovers squad after a hamstring injury but Curtis Dunn will be absent again after missing Saturday's clash.

Lets hope the magic of the FA Cup brings us another exciting game with a positive result for Paulton! Should Rovers prevail, then a trip to Tiverton Town will be the prize in the First Qualifying Round on Saturday 2nd September .
