A cracking advert for non league football was served up at Winterfield Road for the crowd of 244 with a healthy number from Slough.

Paulton open up the better side and Jon Davies cross was scissor kicked over the bar by Nick McCootie after 8 minutes.

Rovers took the lead on 21 minutes as Davies cross was turned home by Rebels centre half Reece York under pressure from Mike Bryant.

Paulton added a second 2 minutes later slick passing by Ash Williams found McCootie wriggling passed the visiting defence to Davies who fired past Jake Somerville.

As Rovers pressed for a third they lost Davies with a hamstring problem shortly before half time.

Slough came out a more determined outfit with swathes of attacks. 5, minutes in York saw his headed brilliantly saved by Kyle Phillips turning the ball on to the crossbar and seeing a follow up header by George Short cleared.

10 minutes later the Rebels pulled one back when Alex Witham's cross was headed home by sub Alex Cornell.

Two minutes later and it was 2-2 an in swinging corner on the right by James Dobson was headed home by York.

With an had a firm shot held by Phillips and at the other end Somerville made a great save from Williams and Paulton skipper Scott Brice nearly beat the keeper at his near post.
