On Saturday, we travel to beautiful Exmouth for our penultimate fixture of the season!

For much of the season, Exmouth were sat in the position that we find ourselves now but for the last couple of months they have gone on a tremendous run of form that saw them leapfrog ourselves and Westbury and into safety. Their previous six matches have seen three wins, two defeats and a draw. The most recent result was a narrow 1 - 0 defeat to high flyers, Cribbs.

Tuesday's 2 - 2 draw was both promising and disappointing. With a "bare-bones" line-up, we performed well for much of the game and could have seen us with a bigger lead at the break had chances been put away. Two mistakes led to Malvern equalising, but even then we still pressed forward and could have found a winner.

However, we go into this game with the squad further depleted. The boss took a moment from a hectic few days of phone calls to tell me: "Tuesday was a great point against Malvern who are another team who still have a chance of a play-off spot. We were down to bare bones even naming kitman Aaron Whittock on the bench. The commitment levels at the club in these final weeks has been of concern and we have another three missing on Saturday against an in-form Exmouth team. I’m hoping to get a squad there and it’s not for the the lack of trying.

In addition to those missing on Tuesday, Neil Martin and Nick Hewlett miss out as both are on holiday but hopefully we will welcome back Milo Murgatroyd from his holiday. We are hoping to finish the season on a high and the players there will give their all."
