Saturday afternoon sees our final game of the season as Evesham Utd visit The Winterfield Stadium.

Evesham sit in 7th place in the league table on 50 points. When we played them back in March (0 - 0 draw), they sat in the playoff spots but since then have fallen away and now find themselves without a chance of reaching the top five. Their previous six results have garnered three victories and three defeats the latest of which was a 3-2 win over Willand. In the three victories in that sequence they scored eleven goals so despite an apparent drop in form, they have still been scoring freely!

Last weekend saw us take the points in a 2 - 1 win over Exmouth Town and was our first victory since Boxing Day. The result was well deserved as a rather depleted team looked dangerous going forward and restricted Exmouth to half chances particularly in the second half. It was a performance that built on the good showing against Malvern last week.

In the run up to the Exmouth game, Richard Fey highlighted just how thin the squad was at the moment mainly due to injuries so it remains to be seen how we will line-up for the match. He had this to day on this week's game: "We go into our last game of the season and want to finish on a high after last Saturday’s excellent win away at Exmouth. Unfortunately, the availability gets worse with Jamarni Langlais and Joe Hall both suspended and Aaron Parsons, who came off last Saturday, injured with his recurring calf. We will be bare bones but the eleven that start will give their all against another top eight side."

With thanks to The Pitching In Southern League, our guest for the day will be The Right Honourable Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg MP. We would love to finish the season on a high note so come along and get behind the lads! Following the game, the club's end of season presentation will take place. This will be at 6pm and all club members and supporters are welcome to attend.
