Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of our hardworking ground staff, there has been too much rain this week and the pitch is waterlogged and unplayable. The game will now be rearranged and we will report the new date soon.

We will be hoping the weather is kind for some Friday night football as Westbury Utd come to The Winterfield Stadium.

Our visitors currently sit two places and four points above ourselves in the table having played a couple of games more. They began the season strongly and moved up to 7th place before falling away again. There has been some stability in recent weeks having won one, drawn three and lost two of their previous six games. The most recent result was 4-4 draw with Bishops Cleeve Saturday.

Despite the lack of points, our own performances have improved in the last few weeks. Certainly we did not get what we deserved from the game at Tavistock on Saturday. The squad will be keen to get over that result and the disappointment of the late postponement of Tuesday night's game with Evesham by putting in a strong performance here in a crucial game.

Many remember the previous meeting with Westbury back in early November when player manager, Toozey, took charge for the first time and scored a hattrick in a 4-3 victory. A compilation of our goals from that game can be seen here.

Tuesday's postponed game has given extra time to allow Dan Restorick to recover from his injury and he should be added to the squad. We also welcome back Wayne Nderemani after his long term injury. Unfortunately, the game may have come too soon for Dan Cottle who was injured in the Wimborne match.
