A slick Salisbury outfit managed by Steve Claridge inflicted defeat on Paulton in front of a crowd approaching 500 enjoying a night of free admission.
Rovers keeper Keiron Hodges saved well at the feet of Tommy Wright but could not prevent the striker on loan from Eastleigh racing onto a loose ball to opening the scoring on 20 minutes.
Paulton had a period of sustained pressure with Will Hailston and Ryan radford shooting wide only to be outdone in the 41st minute as Lewis Benson outpaced his marker down the right and crossed low for Wright to snatch his second.
Joe Chandler then saw a header cleared off the line by a Salisbury defender.
Rovers made a lively start to the second half out done on fifty three minutes by Salisbury making it 3-0 with an absolute pile driving hitting the underside of the crossbar from Tom Whelen.
Hodges went on to produce a series of excellent saves preventing Wright getting his hat trick and the prolific Justin Bennett getting on the score sheet.
Jake Mawford nearly reduced the arrears winning the ball on the byline cutting inside and clipping the visitors post.
The collection for Dorothy House Hospice in memory of the late Jeff Mountjoy has exceeded £550. A wonderful night and thank you to all who so generously donated and particularly Fran Mead & Des Loader for organising and presenting the cheque to Dorothy House.
