PAULTON ROVERS 2 v 1 BIDEFORD

Paulton came from behind to make it three wins in a row defeating a good Bideford side.The game changer was arguably down to an astute substitution from manager Tony Ricketts.

Paulton had a great chance after 4 minutes as Ryan Radford played in Elliott Gibbons who one on one with keeper Joe Moore missed a great chance.

Sean Dowling posed a constant threat for the visitors heading wide, bringing two fine saves from Rovers stopper Andrew Hannah one a fingertip save.

Dowling made it 1-0 for Biddy on 43 minutes with a fine turn and low shot into the Rovers net.

Ricketts half time talk livend his young team and they levelled on the hour as Radford split the Biddy defence found Mario Mateus on the left wing and he cut inside to beat Moore on near post.

That crucial substitution saw Ibs Diallo replace Matt Long at left back and Rovers paralympic Team GB Silver medal winner at London 2012 stemmed Dowling at every opportunity.

On 70 minutes Diallo found a gap in the Bideford defence Radford linked with Gibbons who ran on to slip the ball past Moore.

Rovers captain Josh Ford led a resolute defence and a break could have seen Paulton add to the score as Hannah hit a long ball and Gibbons was only stopped with a last ditch header from Chris McGrath son of Irish legend Paul McGrath.
