Rovers keeper Andy Hannah returned for his first game of the season and his side got off to a great start with a 2nd minute goal. A long cross by Joe Guest was laid by Joe Hillard to Kailan Gould who hit a superb half volley past Kevin Sawyer.
Gould then set up Omar Simpson whose shot was held by Sawyer.
Hannah was called into action saving from Greg Peel. On the half hour Evesham nearly levelled as Matt Liddard's header was turned for a corner by Sam Hedges and along with Joe Chandler were defending well.
Another chance saw Adam Mann hit the post from a 20 yard free kick with Hannah well beaten.
United had a great chance on 46 minutes as Peel blasted over the bar. Gould then stung Sawyer's hands and the keeper pushed away a drive by Simpson.
Paulton made it 2-0 on 74 minutes, as Dale Evans right wing corner was met by a bullet header past Sawyer.
Hannah tipped over brilliantly from a pile driver by sub Jordan Lymn.
A real hard working team performance from Paulton Rovers.
They are away to Taunton on Bank Holiday KO 3-00 pm. Then on Saturday it's the FAC Cup 1st qualifying round home to Winchester City K-O 3-00 p.m.
