Paulton were undone as they faced league leaders Taunton Town on a sweltering Bank Holiday Monday afternoon'

After an equal share of early exchanges Ryan Brett drove a shot over the Rovers crossbar.

'The Peacocks' took the lead on 26 minutes after Josh Cann was penalised for fouling a Taunton player.Les Afful thumped home the resultant penalty.

Joe Hillard hit a dipping 30 yard shot which narrowly went over the bar.

In added time Ollie Chamberlain hit a low shot from the edge of the penalty area past Andy Hannah to give the home side a 2-0 half time lead.

Early Taunton pressure saw Hannah kept busy by Chamberlain and an Arran Pugh header.

Paulton then had a bright spell of possession but could not put enough pressure on the Town goal.

Taunton subs Lewis Powell saw his header hit the crossbar then Ollie Mehew made it 3-0 with an excellent goal dribbling along the box before creating enough space to hammer the ball past Hannah.
