Paulton threw away a two goal half time lead against a Taunton Town side that deserved to win on the second half performance.
Rovers were without captain Dan Cleverley whose wife Laura gave birth to their second child, Dean Evans suspended, Mike Reaney and James Billing both injured.
They gave debuts to Darren Jeffries signed from Chippenham Town and loan signing Pete Monks from Weston super Mare.
The early part of game saw free flowing football with home keeper Kyle Phillips saving twice with his
feet from Chris Young and Nat Pepperall.
Rovers went ahead in the thirty third minute following Brandon Barnes
corner on the right flicked on by defender Ollie Price and put away by
Nick McCootie.
Six minutes later Paulton made it 2-0 when debutant Darren Jeffries set
up Barnes to blast home from close range.
Two minutes later Paulton were controversialy denied what appeared to be
a cast iron penalty as McCootie outpaced the 'Peacock's' defence and looked as if he was just about to shoot when he was tripped from behind by Ben Mammola who looked as if he expected the
worse, but the referee ruled that it had been a 'brilliant' tackle.
Taunton came out a different side and dominated long periods of the
second half.
They were rewarded after 63 minutes when Robertson drove home after a cross from Young and nine
minutes later Murray levelled with another great shot after being sent up by Pepperall and Young.
Paulton had chances with through McCootie, Barnes and sub Joe Vyner.
Town however pressed forward and substitute Simon Ingram hit the winner in the eighty first minute to
delight of the visiting spectators.
