Clevedon Town were the visitors as both sides had difficulty coping with a bobbly pitch and a cold wind drifting across Winterfield Road.
Joe Swift hit a shot in the 4th minute deflected by Rovers defender Ryan Batten in to the hands of keeper Kyle Phillips.
His counterpart Kane Mannings then watched as Brandon Barnes pulled his shot wide and he then held a drive by Nick McCottie and a flick with the outside of his left foot from Barnes.
Phillips stopped Isaac Reid and Chas Hitchings as the seasiders threaten the Paulton defence.
As half time approached Marcus Mapstone should have done better from a Barnes corner, whilst Reid through on goal saw Mapstone rob him of the ball as he was about to shoot.
Rovers came out looking to open their account with Saul Williams twice linking with McCottie only for Mannings to safely hold the shot threatening his goal.
On the hour Barnes split the visiting defence but Williams was stretching too much and his volley lacked power.
Reid should have scored as the ball fell to him from close range and he lost control allowing Ryan batten to clear.
With eight minutes remaining a Paulton attack broke down and Kye Mountford dispatched a long ball to Reid and as he bore down on goal Rovers captain Dan Cleverley brought him down and adjudged to have prevented a goal scoring oppportunity and shown a red card and his marching orders.
In the closing minutes both sides half threatening each others net. It was Clevedon's man of the match Mannings on hand to save from Lacey and then Mike Perrott to give his side a share of the spoils.
