A minute later Paulton went ahead as Tom Ovigne's cross from the left was headed for an own goal with the player under pressure from Prior.
Eight minutes into the second half Ovigne cross this time from the right for Prior to slot home.
Two minutes later captain Will Rawlings drew forward and hit a firm shot past home keeper Max Hopcraft.
Hopcraft was responsible for keeping the score down, but on 65 minutes Carter Bailey crossed for Ben Smith to head home.
Late on Rovers keeper Joel Parry pulled off several good saves with an exceptional ly excellent from Ben Kvudsen that looked destined for the net.
