What can we say about our captain?! One of the most popular players in the area, Martin rejoined Paulton in 2022 after signing from Frome Town. He had already come through the youth system at Paulton before gaining Southern League experience at Frome. After a spell away from Paulton, he helped Yate Town gain promotion to the Southern League Premier Division before returning to Paulton last season.

With the sudden departure of Kieran Baggs with six weeks of last season to go, Martin and Jack Dancey, assisted by John Rendell took over the management and masterminded eight league victories, one draw and just one defeat in the run-in. The run left the club in a play-off position and two further memorable victories against Clevedon Town and Sidmouth Town sent us back to The Southern League!

Martin will remain as club captain and as John Rendell’s assistant manager.
