Paulton groundsmen Robert Filer and his sons Mike, Chris and John have been awarded two runners up places in the finals of the groundsman of the year award for 2013.

Yesterday at St Georges Park recognition of the families long standing devotion to the club, it's stadium and the pich resulted in 2nd place in the Southern League and in National Award for steps 3 & 4.

In both cases these part time stalwarts, who have tended to Winterfield Road for many years, were only beaten by clubs who effectively have a full time groundsman.
