We regret to announce that 1st team manager, Mark Harrington, has decided to stand down from the role.
“Harry” has served the club with great distinction both as a player, captain and manager and the club management are extremely grateful for all the hard work he has put in on their behalf over many years and are hoping that he will continue to be involved with Paulton Rovers in some capacity in the very near future.
We are pleased to announce that his former assistant, Nick Bunyard, has agreed to become manager for the 2012/2013 season. Nick had two spells at Winterfield Road as a player having been originally signed by Darren Perrin from Frome Town and then followed his manager to Chippenham Town, before re-signing for Rovers. He also played for Forest Green Rovers, Weston Super Mare, Bath City and Mangotsfield United. Nick was appointed assistant manager by Mark Harrington in January 2012.
Nick will be assisted by another former Rovers’ player, Paul Thorpe, who in addition to playing over 500 first team games for Yeovil Town brings a wealth of experience having previously managed at Frome Town.
Everyone at the club wishes Nick and Paul every success for the forthcoming season and negotiations are already under way regarding players and pre-season friendlies.
