A tough start for both sides, with difficult weather conditions holding them back—especially Paulton in the first half as they attacked against the wind. There were a few chances for each team in the opening 45 minutes, but Paulton broke the deadlock after 22 minutes when Davis found the net following a brilliant run inside by Emery.
Nailsea looked to respond soon after, coming close when their striker struck the post.
The second half told a different story. With the wind now in their favour, Paulton pinned Nailsea back and took control of the game. They created plenty of chances and enjoyed a comfortable spell, though they were unable to add to their lead.
All in all, a strong performance, a well-officiated match, and now a final awaits.
