This Saturday's fixture sees us take a break from league matters as we visit Ilminster Town FC in Second Round Qualifying for the FA Vase!

Our hosts play in the South West Peninsula League - Premier East Division and currently sit in 8th spot (16 teams in the league). Last time out they defeated Torrington 2-1 with two goals from Evan Howse. Their squad boasts two ex- Rovers players. Firstly Braeden Symes who played in the 23/24 squad featuring 18 times and ex-captain, Neil Martin, who joined from Tiverton in the 21/22 season.

Back to back wins over Newquay and Bradford Town scoring six goals in the process should send us into this game in full confidence but it remains to be seen if Kieran Baggs will shuffle his squad for the tie. The squad is still having to contend with long term injuries to a number of players and with two important away league matches coming hot on the heels of this fixture, there could be changes.

Last season's FA Vase run began with a 3-0 victory over Torridgeside who also play in the South West Peninsula League - Premier East. This was followed by a 5-0 win in the local derby against Radstock before eventually falling to Portishead.
