After the disappointment of losing out on the title in our final league match, we move into the playoffs and welcome Clevedon Town to The Winterfield Stadium on Saturday!

Our guests have been in good form in the last five league matches with three victories (the latest against Helston on Saturday), a draw and one defeat to Barnstaple. The task will be tough as Clevedon spent much of the season at the top of the table only to have six points deducted in the final weeks. A move that will no doubt give them extra incentive to get promoted via the playoffs. In our previous two meetings this season, Clevedon had a narrow 3-2 win at The Winterfield Stadium with a late goal whilst we recorded arguably our best performance of the season with a 3-0 win at The Moneymates Stadium. We will also welcome back Kye Simpson who has been an incredibly popular player with ourselves in recent seasons.

Saturday's defeat away at Torpoint will have stung the players. It was possibly one of the worst performances of the season although nothing should be taken away from Torpoint in how they managed the game. Some perspective needs to be put in place though. It was our first defeat in the league since October and it came to the potential title winners (at the time of writing) who hadn't lost at home all season. There was good news to come from the game though as Wayne Nderemani returned from injury to boost the squad.
