On Saturday, we travel to Cornwall and to Newquay AFC!

Our hosts currently sit in 15th place in the table on seven points. Their most recent result was a 1-0 victory over Nailsea & Tickenham on Saturday and have already played high flyers, Buckland Athletic, Torpoint and Clevedon in the previous games. So a very tough start to the season! A player to watch will be their top scorer, Rhys Simmonds.

We will be looking to get back on track after a run of three games only picking up one point along the way. However, Tuesday evening's game showed a fighting spirit that should give us a lot of confidence. The squad has certainly been hampered with injuries and there is good and bad news on that front too. Alfie Kelsey will now be side-lined for the foreseeable future and joins Sam Hill, Jack Dancey and Billy Padfield whom all carry long-term issues. However, we welcome back Dan McBeam who has been out for several weeks playing just a short time in our Somerset Cup win over Cheddar.

We welcome goalkeeper Seb Tylek to the club who joins on a short term loan from Frome Town and we'd like to thank Danny Greaves and Frome Town for helping to make the move possible.

We also welcome back Will Osborne to Paulton Rovers! Will was an important part of last season's squad and will add much needed depth and experience in midfield.

We can also confirm that Curtis Dunn has left the club and we'd like to thank him for his time and effort with us and wish him the best of luck at his new club.

There will be a coach to Newquay leaving the club at 8.30am. The fare will be £13 for adults, £12 for club members and under 16s £6. Please add your name to the list in the club if you'd like to travel. Spaces will be limited.
