On Easter Monday, its local derby day! We make the short journey to Shepton Mallet looking to keep the pressure up on the top spots!
At the time of writing, Shepton sit in 16th place on 26 points. They have a game against Bradford Town on Good Friday that could potentially change their position. Their last five games have seen one win (against Bridgwater) two draws and two defeats. Last time out was a 3-1 defeat away at Barnstaple. We will be reunited with some familiar faces at the club! Ex-Rovers manager, Craig Loxton has recently rejoined Shepton; the club he was at prior to managing ourselves. The squad boasts ex-players Jemar South-Thomas, Tom Ovigne and Harry Barter all of whom have had spells at the club.
Our Good Friday game is another local clash. We will have made the journey to Street and time will tell what the result of that game was! Our new loan signings have all made a quick start in the squad with Krystian Woods scoring in each of the last four games. Again, we will see if he can add to that at Street! The signings have given Martin Lenihan the chance to rotate the squad and with key members also returning from injury, we go into these final games in good stead!
We hope to have you alongside us again!
