We're sure we have all been crunching the numbers and we know what's at stake this weekend! On Saturday we travel to Torpoint Athletic...
This will be no easy task though. Torpoint have not lost at home all season and only lost three times all season. Like ourselves, they have been on a long run of away games and notched up two wins (Brislington and Saltash) and three draws in the last five matches. Their last game was a 3-3 draw at Ivybridge which matched our result there back in March. On Tuesday evening, they will be away again at Oldland Abbotonians.
Despite the size of the task, we go into the game full of confidence after a run of games that have seen us drop only two points since Kieran Baggs' departure. We have also had the recent returns of Dan McBeam and Kitan Jaiyeoba from injury with the latter scoring five times in the last two games and we will also see the return of Sam Hill from suspension and hopefully, Wayne Nderemani, from injury. Our previous game with Torpoint (at The Winterfield Stadium) saw a 2-2 draw with the visitors grabbing a late goal to take a point after we had come from behind to take a lead.
The coach is now full but we have appreciated everyone's support all season and we'd love to have you with us once again!
